The 2009 Geomorphometry book was a game changer. This book with 28 chapters, coming out as the original SRTM became widely available, started a revolution in geomorphometry. Now, 15 years later, a new edition will carry geomorphometry forward for another two decades.
The New Edition of the book, edited by H. Reuter, C. Grohmann, and V. Lecours, will be presented at Geomorphometry 2025 on Monday, June 9.
Outline of the presentation:
1. Geomorphometry Formalized: Looking Back at the 2009 Book (Peter Guth)
2. Geomorphometry Concepts Updated (Hannes Reuter)
3. Geomorphometry Software Updated (Carlos Grohmann)
4. Geomorphometry Applications Updated: (Vincent Lecours)
5. Geomorphometry Going Forward: the next 20 year (TBA)
